What's new in SketchUp Pro 2014
Models galore, easier to find and use
SketchUp’s universe of free 3D models is almost infinite; the improvements made to 3D Warehouse make that universe infinitely more useful. From fully-interactive model previews to an entirely new UI, the changes in 2014 are huge.
BIM classification and interoperability
With SketchUp Pro 2014, you don’t have to sell a kidney or go back to school to start adding elements of BIM (Building Information Modeling) to your models. There are added features for classifying objects and exporting files according to some of the industry’s most common BIM standards.
Time-saving tools for documentation
When designing things that you will not be building yourself, it all comes down to the documents. LayOut in SketchUp Pro 2014 takes care of dates, page numbers, and repetitive text so you can focus on what matters: making better drawings.
SketchUp 2014. Now with more oomph.
Everyone wants SketchUp to get faster. That's why the code is tweaked every version to speed things up. This time, Trimble have supercharged shadows in big models and made vector rendering in LayOut more than ten times as quick.

Introducing Extension Warehouse
Research, download and install extensions without ever having to leave SketchUp. Every useful extension in one place - that's the all-new Extension Warehouse.
Pattern Fills
Now you can fill shapes in LayOut with hatching and other patterns. Choose from a large library of standards-construction materials, geometric tiles, dot screens - or create your own favorites. Patterns can be rotated, scaled or used as-is. You can even combine Pattern Fills with solid colors to create an endless number of variations.
Copy Array
You know how SketchUp lets you easily create multiple copies of an object with your keyboard? Those are called arrays, and now LayOut lets you make them, too. Move a copy, type how many copies you want, type the letter 'x' and Enter.
Speedier Vector Rendering
When you need to print a drawing really big, sometimes it's helpful to vector-render your SketchUp model views. Doing so makes lines look smooth and reduces wait times for all but the most complex models. In the latest version of LayOut, vector rendering is faster than it's ever been.
Faster Screen Redraw
Introduces noticeable improvements in the speed at which redrawing happens. LayOut should feel snappier, especially as documents get more complex.
Numbered Pages in the Pages panel
LayOut's Pages panel now displays page numbers, which makes it easier to print and export portions of your document.
Curved Label Leader Lines
It is now much easier to create curved label leader lines.
Dashes in Dimensions
Dashes in LayOut's dimension labels make them easier to read.
Smarter Toolbars in Windows
In SketchUp 2013, you can drag native tool icons between toolbars.
Video Export
Exporting a movie from your SketchUp model is as simple as setting up a few scenes and choosing a few menu options.
Zoom In More
Increased LayOut's maximum zoom capability by a factor of ten, from 1000% to 10,000%.
