We polished up the interface you love
We kept the powerful PhotoLooks 1 workflow that you love, but redesigned its interface with a more polished, intuitive appearance. PhotoLooks 2 also has a lot of efficiency changes that make life easier, like turning on/off the Tool Chain or hiding the Color Scopes to maximize your workspace.
Finding a look couldn’t be easier
Use the Look Theater to quickly browse 100+ redesigned presets that include new PhotoLooks 2 features. Each preset was inspired by both classical photography and popular films, and tested in real-world projects. Our huge library ranges from practical lighting scenarios to stylized Hollywood treatments.
‘Golden hour’ is anytime you like
Go beyond presets and create your own sophisticated looks. PhotoLooks has a powerful Tool Chain that uses lighting, color, exposure and lens effects to imitate the real-world path of light through a camera. What does this mean? You are bathing your photos with believable, beautiful light and color.
Get skintones smooth and precise
New tools make your skintones perfect. Skin Overlay is a grid that identifies incorrect skin colors. Memory Colors is a powerful histogram scope that compares skin colors to proper fleshtones. And our Cosmo tool makes your subject’s complexion look smooth, even if it didn’t start out that way.
Individual control over every color
With the new Colorista 3-Way Wheels, your colors are separated into Shadows, Highlights and Midtones, so you can adjust every tone and shade individually. It’s more powerful than a complicated process like Photoshop’s Curves, and gives you color control that doesn’t exist anywhere else.
Your video just got more photographic
Are you a video editor? Now you can work seamlessly between PhotoLooks 2 and its sister video tool, Looks 2. Use PhotoLooks alongside Looks when doing a frame-by-frame composite, working on a JPG sequence, or grading a location still to communicate the look of a film.
Throw a parade... an RGB Parade
Whether you’re working with photos or video stills, the six scopes are incredibly useful. They analyze color to tell you what is true-to-life and what needs to be changed. Joining RGB Parade and Slice Graph are our new friends Hue/Saturation, Hue/Lightness, Memory Colors and Skin Overlay.
Looks that work where you do
PhotoLooks is quite versatile. It plugs into Photoshop, Aperture and Lightroom, giving you the freedom to use all your favorite host apps, and supports the Photoshop CS6 video timeline. There is also a stand-alone PhotoLooks.app which works efficiently outside of the big boys.
Go large & fast with GPU or CPU
Speed up your photo enhancement, even on images that are 30K pixels wide. PhotoLooks works with SD, HD, 2K and 4K images on standard hardware, and gets radically faster with the latest NVIDIA GPU cards. Switch to CPU rendering to handle larger files and improve render speed.
The power of HDR and 32-bit
HDR processing and 32-bit support give you instant visual feedback and more realistic effects, while making sure that extreme color values aren’t clipped. PhotoLooks compresses the bright values of HDR images to make them viewable and printable, without losing a speck (oops, pixel) of data.
