Icenium eliminates the complexity of cross-platform mobile development by combining the convenience of a local development environment with the power and flexibility of the cloud. Support for Apache Cordova (formerly PhoneGap) enables you to build compelling mobile applications that run natively on Apple iOS and Google Android platforms using nothing more than HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. Plus with cloud-based compliation, you can build your application without having to install and manage multiple mobile SDKs. Icenium supports either a Windows-based IDE (Icenium Graphite) or a web-based IDE (Icenium Mist).

Use your existing HTML5 & JavaScript skills

Icenium leverages Apache Cordova (aka PhoneGap) so you can write an application using HTML, JavaScript & CSS and run it as a natively-installed application on supported mobile devices. Codova is effectively a container for a web application that allows your JavaScript to access certain native device APIs.

Real-time updates on all connected devices

Telerik wanted to implement an iterative approach to app development nearly identical to the approach used in web development. If you’re already used to working in a code editor and a browser and seeing your changes as you make them, Telerik thought, "Why reinvent the wheel?'

Icenium LiveSync provides a connection to your app as it's running on one or more physical devices and enables you to see changes made in real-time without having to recompile.

The Icenium cloud services manage all the platform dependencies for you so you can focus on development. There is no need to download, configure and manage multiple development environments and numerous SDKs. Icenium handles it all for you in the cloud.

Realistic simulation & powerful debugging

Iterate quickly on your design with the integrated device simulator to see how your mobile application looks and feels without ever having to deploy to a physical device. The Icenium Device Simulator enables you to test the behavior of a hybrid app across multiple platforms and form factors. The debugger interacts with your code and has views for elements, resources, and the console. That means you can view and modify the DOM, see console messages and much more.

Test and develop on iOS without provisioning

Icenium Ion makes deploying and testing your hybrid mobile apps on any iOS device a snap, by eliminating the need to provision them. Simply install Ion (available in the AppStore), scan the QR code shown on the screen when you run a project, and in seconds the application is installed and running inside Ion. Making changes? Simply press three fingers to the screen of the iOS device and the app will fetch the changes and update itself.

Get your app into the market

Publishing to the Apple App Store or Google Play broadens your reach to more users, but can also be a hassle. Not with Icenium. With built-in support for preparing your project for publishing, the headache of dealing with the App Store and Play is gone.
